Starting Olde Worlde Cafe & Bookery has been a dream come true. It's been with a leap of faith and a lot of hard work that we've been able to reach this dream. We strive to bring unique culture and cuisine to our community. Together we have worked to create a one in a kind experience just for the community that we love so much.

Julie has been a resident of Sturgis for 13 years. She worked as a radiologic technologist for 30 years, which allowed her to live all over the U.S. before finally settling in Sturgis for good.

Julie retired from Radiology about 5 years ago. She had been day dreaming and planning for a cafe of her own for 15 years before it became a reality. Julie is the head chef and owner. She loves cooking, reading, travel, and collects cows.

Dan has been a resident of the Black Hills and now Sturgis for roughly 5 years. He has been Julie's partner in business and life from the very start of the cafe. He designed the ice cream and soda fountain & provides maintenance. Most importantly, Dan is the breakfast chef and resident comedian of the restaurant. Dan loves racing, football, & Julie.
